Hauppauge Wintv V7 Serial
Now here is what I am worried about: My HAUPPAUGE Dual Channel scanner ½ height PCI card drivers will not load properly in WIndows 10 and I have lost the WinTV 7 serial number I'm supposed to use to install he software. BUT – JRiver can see the card and can use the card to scan all the channels. Hauppauge WinTV Screenshot. Hi all, long time lurker, second time poster. I'm at my wit's end with this EPG stuff because I upgraded my home PC from windows 8.1 to windows 10. I had windows media center installed.
I did some research and there was supposed to be several avenues for me to take to have a media centre on WIndows 10. 1 – XBMC or Kodi – This does not allow for free to air TV and tuner. 2.- There is a hack that allows Windows Media Center to work on Windows 10. Well not for me buddy. 3.- and the most promising – I'm looking at JRiver and commercial program, fairly cheap. But it requires that I download the EPG eternally and generate a XML file. Sources say I should use EPG Centre – I need to select several frequencies, I need to choose Australia in the advanced section and I need to disable my firewall (why?).

EPG Centre can also see the card and it can use the card, but It can not find any channels' EPG listings. So as I cannot link an EPG output with the channels in JRiver I do not get a TV option to choose form in JRiver. This sucks because we are used to watching movies, listening to music, watching series and blue-ray disks and recording 1 or 2 channels of TV whenever we feel like it.
All linked to a larger multi-terabyte storage on my PC.:-(.
