Gm Tis2000 Download
Tis-2000-gm-software-free - Tech-2.clone..why.not?.Firebird.Nation www.obd2sale.com/goods-63-G. TIS2000 CD and USB Key for GM TECH2 GM Car Model software, it is used to do GM car programming.
Ebay will be your best bet. Good luck on finding a used 'Genuine' one for less than $500. If you want to use it on an 05 or later you will need the CANDI module, which aint cheap either.
See here: Pick up a Chinese knock off NEW for $300, with a warranty. Without security access on the Tech 2, you cant do much other than read all of the codes and watch live data (you can also reset a few select parameters). To me, a tool that only does that is only worth $200-$300. I've had my cheap Chinese junk knock off for a little over a year now and its held up great. I kept mine in the car during the winter and now during the summer and its still going. Jontall do you have a link to the chinese job you bought, would like to see it.
Do these chinese units work on 05-06 cars that require the candi adaptor? What about the snapon modis, my gm dealer uses them. It works on our cars and the candi adapter is included. It comes with TIS 2000, but you will need to buy a dongle ($15) and a Windows XP laptop w/serial port to program. Snap-on can't do everything like SPS linking and is $5000. You need to plug the Tech 2 into the cars diagnostic port so it can read the VIN and then back to the laptop computer which checks the VIN when SPS is launched.
It then downloads the programing information into the Tech 2, then you go back to the car, plug it in and the Tech 2 does the requested programming. This is how it needs to be done.
No VIN downloaded in the Tech 2 from the car first and the SPS program will not process the request and will not load the Tech 2 with the information for the requested programing. Go to Youtube and search for SPS Tech 2 programing and you will understand better. It works on our cars and the candi adapter is included.

Does it work as a full fledge TECH 2? EDIT: Jontall, you said-'Mine was $258 shipped and comes with everything including TIS 2000 w/dongle and I just need to buy a cheap Windows XP laptop to make it all work.' Did you get yours from the link you provided? Real life is the Tech2 lets you read all the modules in the car, see and clear codes that you can't access with other devices, run tests and procedures that can't be done with anything else, etc.
If you're planning on hanging on to the car and especially if you're planning to mod stuff it's well worth the $300'ish for the Chinese clone. And as far as your remote goes, you could have programmed that yourself in your own driveway for $0 with no extra tools or devices. The procedure is documented here in many threads. Did you get yours from the link you provided? Yes and tell them that you need the dongle, there is a $6 coupon too. The tool traveled from Hong Kong to my house in 24 hours; unbelievable. The laptop you'll need to get from Ebay. Windows XP laptop only with a serial port so you can program an ECM; PIM and BCM linking you can do with the tool only- radio too. A little off topic but since there seems to be interest in TIS2000 here is how to add a J2534 device If you using GM’s TIS or SPS, you will need to setup a J2534 Pass-Thru Driver.
You can do this by following these steps: 1) Click on the configuration drop-down menu and select IO Management 2) On the IO Management screen, click DRIVER to add J2534 support to TIS. In the INSTALL DRIVER box, type or browse to c: program files cosids bin j2534.dll and click INSTALL. This will install the driver and bring you back to the IO management screen.
3) On the IO Management screen, click ADD to add the new interface. For the LOGICAL NAME type “Generic Pass Thru” and for Driver choose “J2534 Pass Thru Driver”.
You must type the LOGICAL NAME exactly as shown with a single space between words and capital G, P, T. If you mistype even one character or miss a space it will not work.
Download Fb Leads Extractor Keygen Generator. 4) On the IO Management screen select 'Generic Pass Thru', click PROPERTIES and choose a specific J2534 device. In the DEVICE NAME list choose YOUR J-2534 device. Return to this screen if you want to change to another J-2534 device later. 5) Close I/O management and choose Service Programming System. Use the new GENERIC PASS THRU option as your diagnostic interface.
